What's Next...

I'm at Crystal Springs Resort in Vernon NJ for a weekend getaway, but I woke up thinking of the next new thing for The PurpleShmurple Shoppe. I suddenly have the urge to go to the craft store rather than go snow tubing! But there's a time for everything. So i will manage to do both today! 

What to expect for Summer Line? I can't tell you the new materials I will use just yet but it's going to be great! You know me and new mediums/materials... I love trying out new stuff! I think that's where creativity really comes to the surface... you can nicely put scraps together and call it art. 


I already have a few items lined up for the Summer Line and there's more to come! Release date to be announced. Thinking early to mid April.

Finally... The PurpleShmurple Shoppe's LOGO and Special Announcement

Every business has it's own logo. I just made The PurpleShmurple Shoppe logo plain and simple. From now on, you will see this logo in the back of every handmade polymer clay necklaces. Local Craft Show

Exciting News

In the beginning of January of this year, I finally received our local Crafts and Art Show schedule and immediately called the event director for a reservation! I am scheduled to have my first Jewelry show in Westfield, NJ on August 27th, Saturday! I'm hoping to see you guys there! Favorite things! And this song is one of my childhood favorite songs! On this post, I will share with you my most heart things!

For readers at heart, NOOKcolor is the bomb! This thing will carry me to anywhere I've never been before! It just took me to Africa because I'm currently reading Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. Not only that, it carries up to 6,000 books!  Nook and NookColors are available in all Barnes & Nobles bookstores.

I mentioned many times (on Twitter or Blogger) that my favorite beads to work on are turquoise beads! They are semi precious stones and always remind me of the ocean! Not to mention the red orange coral beads. Together or just by itself, they have natural luscious vibrant colors that makes any jewelry  magnificent! Already made a turquoise bracelet for the summer line. Corals are definitely a summer piece so watch out for them! Can't wait for you to see what these beads are going to become soon!

It's Purple!!! I just love this color! Amethyst is said to bring peace, love, calmness, spiritual uplifting and happiness. I can't find this in the store anymore so I just ordered mine online! Even then, it's a backorder and won't be available until March 4th. I can't wait to get it in the mail!

Spring Line has Finally Arrived!

I'm happy to announce that the spring line is finally here! After a long wait, you can now enjoy and shop for new jewelry from The PurpleShmurple Shoppe! I had so much fun making and brainstorming new ideas that has finally put into jewelry. In this line, I really enjoyed working with the leather suede and the Dream Catcher Classic. There are so many ways to make a dream catcher and I will continue to create new ones using different mediums/materials. 


My Spring theme is basic: different color birds, flowers, cats, text messages, navajo inspired jewelry, and spring relevant items like the rain, nest egg, some Chinese inspired items for Chinese New Year, and some valentine themes, after all, it's February!
